It's Make Up Your Mind Day   and   Remember Good Things Day

Take time to reflect on 2019.  I hope you remember some good things that happened this year as well as reflect on the goodness of God.  We've all experienced joyful and sorrowful things this past year and need to remember that God loves us and has a plan for our life.

Psalm 77:11a  I will remember the deeds of the Lord;

Happy Pajama Day!
But it's Sunday and I don't want to wear my pajamas to church
and I'm not at home, we're spending the night with #1 son and I don't want to wear pajamas all day at their house either.
So I have another failed celebration but plan to celebrate life in Christ at church in wonderful praise and worship and hearing God's precious Word, then spend time with #1 son and his girlfriend before we head back home tomorrow morning.

Hope you get to enjoy pajama day and a relaxing Sunday - the last Sunday of 2019!

Happy Call a Friend Day & Happy National Card Playing Day

Well, we spent the day with #1 son and his girlfriend walking around Amelia Island.
Didn't call a friend and haven't played cards!
Calendar fail but still celebrated life.
Hope you also celebrated life today and called a friend or two to get together for cards.

Happy Make Cut Out Snowflakes Day

We didn't cut out snowflakes but we had plenty of rain in Orlando, FL.
I had a good time visiting a friend while Hubby ignored the rain and played golf.

Hope you enjoyed cut out or real snowflakes!

Happy  National Candy Cane Day

What's your favorite candy cane flavor?  They have so many now.

Hubby and I took a walk down Beach St in Daytona Beach, FL and found Angell & Phelps Chocolate Factory (154 S Beach St).  We wandered the quaint shop then had a tour of the factory.  While I didn't see any candy canes, I did see lots of unique yummy chocolate creations.  I think I enjoyed this tour better than the tour of the Hershey factory in PA.  If you're ever in Daytona be sure to stop by this chocolate shop.  It's locally owned and operated and ships within the US.

National celebrations to the end of the year

Today, Christmas Eve, I hope you enjoy some egg nog while you do last minute shopping.  I don't plan to do either.  I don't like egg nog and it's too crowded to go shopping.  Online shopping is a wonderful thing!

Dec 25 - Merry Christmas; Celebrate the Light, Jesus Christ, the Light of the world.
              It's also No "L" Day
It may be difficult to celebrate both days togther
Maybe Celebrate the Light can be changed to Honor the Savior, no "Ls" in that

Dec 26 - National Candy Cane Day
Dec 27 - Make Cut Out Snowflakes Day
Dec 28 - Call a Friend Day & National Card Playing Day
Dec 29 - Pajama Day
Dec 30 - Bacon Day
Dec 31 - Make Up Your Mind Day & Remember Good Things Day

Watch a Christmas Movie Day

We've been watching a Christmas movie every night for several days.
Our first choice was It's a Wonderful Life - always a favorite
Then we watched another favorite - White Christmas
And what would the Christmas season be without watching Elf and The Santa Clause!
We rounded out our movie viewing with Christmas in Connecticut.

What are your favorite Christmas movies?

Merry Christmas Eve Eve.

Happy Look at Christmas Lights Night

No cookie exchange for us this year but I hope you got to participate in this yummy activity.
I love to drive around and see how people have decorated their property at Christmas time.
Do you decorate outside for Christmas?  It's a lot of work and I appreciate those who do.
Here's a picture of a light display in the town of Wendell, NC.  This only shows a small part of the lovely work of art.

Happy National Flashlight Day

Some of my family went to WinterFest at King’s Dominion in Virginia on the 21st, National Flashlight Day,  the shortest day (light) of the year.  Check it out at King’s Dominion’s website.  Winterfest runs now through January 1, 2020.

Let’s talk about ways to celebrate life.

Two years ago, I got a page-a-day calendar of holidays.  I was disillusioned after the first week (only a dentist would want to celebrate National Toothache Day) and I thought, “I can do better than this.”  That thought blossomed into a celebrate-every-day calendar I created for my family.  We had so much fun with it in 2019 that I decided to create another calendar for 2020.

I would like to share it with you and hope you will share how you are celebrating life with me.

Here's a few ways to celebrate pre-Christmas days in 2019.
Dec 20 - National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day
Dec 21 - National Flashlight Day (Shortest Day of the Year)
Dec 22 - National Cookie Exchange Day & Look at Christmas Lights Night
Dec 23 - Watch a Christmas Movie Night
Dec 24 - Last Minute Shoppers' Day & National Egg Nog Day

Not Ugly, nor a Sweater but it's the best I could do.
