I know the thought behind National Fast Food Day is to drum up more business for fast food restaurants but the more I think about it, the more foods fall into the fast food category.
What about microwavable foods? And instant oatmeal? How many of us like ramen noodles and microwaved chicken nuggets for lunch? Or open a can of soup and heat it? Even sit-down restaurants are pretty fast - not as fast as a drive-thru, but fast.
Can foods cooked in the Instant Pot or Air Fryer now qualify as fast foods?
Well, in the spirit of the day, plan a visit to your favorite fast food place today. You know I like McDonald's. What's your favorite? Don't forget food trucks.
Since Elmer Fudd hunted "wabbit" and Bugs Bunny was always too fast for him, wouldn't Bugs Bunny count as fast food even though he was never caught?
