It's The First Day of Fall & National Ice Cream Cone Day & National Hobbit Day

Celebrate the first day of Fall by having an ice cream cone.  It can be your second breakfast.  Hobbits everywhere would approve.  Speaking of hobbits, they will be wearing something to keep their furry feet warm and enjoying their fireplaces as Fall sets in.  But don't eat your ice cream cone by the fire, the two don't mix well.

Dream of adventures, like Bilbo Baggins did, as you think of National Elephant Appreciation Day & World Chubby Unicorn Day - I mean World Rhino Day.

It's also National Voter Registration Day.  It's very easy to register to vote and an election is fast approaching, so don't delay if you aren't already registered.  Absentee ballots are available (at least they are in North Carolina).  I appreciate that you don't have to have a reason to request an absentee ballot in my state.
