Happy Feed the Birds Day and Happy National Carrot Cake Day and Happy Take a Cruise Day
Feed the Birds Day was created to remind everyone to, well, feed the wild birds. Their food sources may be covered with snow or at least harder to come by in many areas. To celebrate you can also watch Mary Poppins. There's a song in the movie called Feed the Birds. Or visit the Happy Hooligans website for easy diy bird feeders.
Do you like carrot cake? Since there's carrot in it, it's healthy, right? 😉 I've never made a carrot cake but The Butcher's Wife blog has a carrot cake recipe that looks good and pretty easy.
I guess more notice needs to be given to celebrate Take a Cruise Day unless you own a boat or know someone who does. Some places have dinner cruises but it may be too cold for that. Or you can take a drive which used to be called cruising. Of course, it was more popular when gas was under $1 a gallon.
Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
