The waffle iron was patented in the U.S. in 1869. I think I'll mix some peach slices into pancake mix and make waffles, then pretend it's peach pie. That sounds yummy.
Everyone can celebrate Can Opener Day today. What cans will you open? Just make sure it isn't a can of worms unless you're like the girls in the painting.
